The first guide to illustrate the symbolic meaning and interesting anecdotes on the frescoes in the Dome of Santa Maria del Fiore. A pictorial cycle of over 3600 square metres, commissioned by the Grand-Duke and painted by two of the most renowned painters at the end of the 16th century: Giorgio Vasari and Federico Zuccari. Over 700 painted figures, of which 248 angels, 235 souls, 21 personifications, 102 religious personalities,35 damned, 13 portraits, 14 monsters, 23 cherubs and 12 animals.
